The last unit of the TEFL course examined potential general problems a teacher could face in the classroom. To prevent them from arising or to tackle them the teacher must make sure to conduct a solid first lesson. From that first lesson onwards, the teacher must understand the general language ability of the class and individual students, assess the size of the class, encourage the class to only use English language in the classroom, identify and find effective ways to work with reluctant or struggling students and teach with care and awareness all the four language skills, no matter how difficult he/she or the students may find the process.
