This unit is about how to effectively plan a lesson for a day. I learned that there are many different techniques when it comes to teaching but to be effective one must know them all and make use of each when appropriate. The most important thing I learned from this was how to plan a lesson using the ESA model. The amount of time spent on each stage and the order of the stages should vary so that the students don't know what to expect. I also learned not only how to correct, but when to correct and the frequency to which corrections should be made. I was not previously sure how much I should correct students so I was glad this was introduced.
