This unit contains information on the productive skills- speaking and writing. Similar to the reading and listening unit it breaks down the importance and main points in teaching each of these skills. Of particular importance is the focus on accuracy and fluency in speaking. While accuracy is key, fluency shows a true knowledge of the language. The unit demonstrates different activities to encourage both accuracy and fluency. The unit also talks about creating a classroom environment that promotes speaking. The unit briefly covers writing skills as well. This unit is building upon the previous units and give great ideas for planning a lesson.
