Unit 6 is about past tenses, as in the present tenses unit, we were presented with the four types of past: past simple, past continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous. Their structures, usages, students? typical error and mistakes, and teaching ideas for the activate stage were discussed. As an important note, teachers must know how to explain and compare these past tenses so students can be able to use them appropriately. As the lesson states, it is important to keep the language according to the students? level while explaining, and use different activities that will help them to understand the target point presented.
