This unit provides a clear indication of the selection of words and the different techniques to be used when teaching the new language. For eg, teaching a student advanced vocabulary that they do not understand or totally confuses them will lead to them being de-motivated and not interested in the new language. We have to identify the students current understanding of the English language and chose words and techniques that assist them and provide for easier learning. I have also been educated in choosing different methods when introducing new language structures and ensuring that the best techniques are chosen for the most appropriate lesson.
