I knew some of the teaching methodology before but not too clearly. And This unit gives me the specific methods about them. Although some of them are out of fashion, each method has its own advantages. I will combine them in teaching according to different teaching objectives. I will try to use ESA in the class and thanks for all the activities in this unit.I throughly enjoyed the unit 10 videos because it produced a visual example of what to do and what not to do during an Engage, Study, Activate formatted lesson with our English Additional Language students. It was helpful to see the contrasting differences between the two lessons and how much the teacher's attitude affected student success and participation.
