This unit talks about how to further define the meaning meant behind the words that are said. Some word shoe a more direct approach such as an obligation wile other words convey a more permissive approach. The words we use can change the meaning behind what we says. It is important to keep the degree of our meaning matched with the purpose of the statements.This Unit details the teaching of Receptive Skills, which are Reading and Listening. Although it might be natural to think of, I liked that the Unit presented the special skills learners need to develop in order to evolve in these Receptive Skills. Moreover, it was good to take a look at the potential problems and the ideas for teaching the skills mentioned.
