In this unit I discovered how to teach productive skills such as speaking and writing. I learned the difference between accuracy and fluency and at what point of the lesson to introduce these skills. I was given games and ideas that would motivate my students to speak in English. This would allow my students to then familiarise themselves with the new language.Unit 3 covered management of the class such as seating arrangement, how the teacher can use physical and vocal expression, and how to deal with discipline issues. I have only taught in very small groups, so many of the explanations of how do deal with management, discipline, and personalizing interactions in larger groups will be very useful for my future work.
