This unit covered the introduction to Teaching Business English. First this unit explained the course content, second this unit explained the course objectives, and third, this unit explained basic Business English terminology. First, this unit gave a comprehensive list of the different units and the major topic points each unit would be addressing. Second, this unit explained the course objectives as they relate to Business English, namely, to give the learner information about effective lesson planning, to teach the learner how to find or create information about the lesson, and to inform the learner about other potential career opportunities. Third, this unit explained the different terms regarding certification terminology, CertTEB, BESIG, as well as TEFL, TESOL, ESP and many other abbreviations were covered in the explanation. I have learned that there are many different options for work after the completion of this course. TESOL/TEFL is not limited to just teaching in a classroom, there are options for teaching in companies, teaching private lessons, and many more.
