This unit focused on the teaching both writing and speaking. I'd never thought about the number of components in associated with the writing skills. But, having gone through this unit I feel more confident in how to teach these skills. I particularly liked the sample lesson regarding utilizing comic strips.Question 12 and 14 were identical. Overall I learnt a fair bit about my own language. It was difficult at first to figure it out. I found it helped to colour code the example sentence given in relation to the rule for each area. I would suggest adding this or including a hint about this for future students.
