This chapter covers lesson planning. Having previously worked as a swim instructor this was not new material for me. But, it was helpful to review the material within the context of esl education. It was also useful to review the ESA model. It was fun to start creating lesson plans as part of the activities.Although I have studied phonetic script in the past it was very nice to be given the opportunity to repeat those skills. Since I very rarely use phonetic script now that I am not teaching at the moment, it is important to practice and keep the skill fresh. It's something I will also try to study as a hobby.
