The rules for the different forms of past tenses are similar to that of the present tenses. My main challenge was remembering the names of the forms, often confusing 'past perfect continuous' with 'past continuous'. Similar to the present tense module, I finally managed to remember them by just remembering one good example for each form.The unit started with a good introduction. The four types of conditionals were taught and examples were given. As always, it was good to have common/typical mistakes that the students make in addition to the teaching ideas. The reported and direct speeches were also very well taught. Also, It was helpful to have the tense changing chart.
