This unit covered the practice of using textbooks, and authentic and created resources to help students work through language acquisition exercises. It gave helpful weaknesses and strengths of using textbooks, and suggested strategies for approaching the use of textbooks without fully relying on them during lessons. The examples of created supplemental items were especially helpful in picturing the possibilities for teachers.
