This unit teaches how we should teach new vocabulary. It reviews the basic patterns or outlines for lessons using Patchwork, Boomerang or Straight Arrow format and explains which could be best for teaching vocabulary for specific ability levels. This unit also covers how new grammatical structures and language functions could be introduced.Although this unit seems much more common sense at face value, it has highlighted to me how important the nuances and subtleties of teaching are and how much seemingly 'small' things have a huge effect on both your ability to teach and your students' ability/desire to learn. It also showed me the correct way to discipline if it is required.
