I learned that the ESA structure involves familiarizing myself and students to a shared interest. From that point, students can then engage in the material with confidence and join fellow classmates in the curriculum. The ESA straight arrow method can apply to all beginner topics and assist in developing students who struggle to participate.This unit has covered vocabulary selection including the appropriateness to the students and tasks, what students need to know about vocabulary items including it's meaning and usage. It has covered some ESA techniques for teaching and provided some ideas for lessons. I have learnt that student learning levels matter in this teaching area.
