This unit addresses the use of course book and how to use them in teaching ESL. There are basically authentic and created course materials. The authentic materials are drwan from newspapers, reality pictures etc to make it exciting and motivating to studets. ON the other hand the teacher mught create the materials using various sources or developing his own if he is creatvuie. Examples of such are cross words, role play play cards etc. Theunit also points out to us where to soruce for the appropriate materials for developing course materials.
