This unit included watching two ESA videos. The two videos are different yet alike. ?For instance, both videos have the same teacher and the same students. Both classes ?were recorded in the same class. Both videos introduce the auxiliary modal verb ??(can), though the focus was different in the two videos. In other words, while the ?first videos was much more grammar focused, the second one was much more ?vocabulary focused. Moreover, both videos have positives and negatives with a few ?positives in the first one and so many in the second one. The second lesson was ?clearly more effective than the first lesson due to several reasons. First, the teacher ?started the class properly?introducing himself and then checking the students? ?names. He was also smiling frequently at the students and motivating them every ?now and then. Unlike this, in the first lesson, the teacher started the class directly, ?showing serious yet angry face most of the time, and above all?answered questions ?wrongly to the students (e.g. can and could are the same). To all intents and purposes, ?the students participated more in the second lesson, smiled, felt relaxed and I have ?never seen them bored or ignored as in the first lesson. ?
