This unit gave me many ideas on theories, methods and techniques on the ESL environment. Teachers can have various methodolgies to use in teaching ESL. It just depends on how the teachers can observe and plan his/her ways to deliver the lessons with her own style of methods to make it more effective to the learners. This unit also gave me a lot of activities to choose from and use to my classes. And yes, elicitation techniques is one of the strategies that I would like to use in my class to get my students to respond because this is where the learners are involves in the process of understanding and discovering ideas in a fun and interesting ways. Lesson planning is really important for the teachers so they would follow the right flow unless they have been teaching for a few years.
