I feel like I have gained so much from this course. Classroom management was a new concept to me, and at first it was very intimidating. After completing this course I feel much more comfortable with the idea of being in front of students. Many things were brought to my attention that I had not considered before, such as how the teacher's position, simple gestures, and eye contact could affect the whole class. There are also many things that I was vaguely aware of, but had not given much thought to, such as class grouping, student/teacher talking time, and problem behavior. After this course, my views on these subjects has been broadened and I feel like I have a much more productive approach to the teaching environment. Reviewing the basics of the english language was also very helpful. With everything I have learned in this course I plan on constructing a positive, friendly, and productive learning environment for students all over the world. I look forward to teaching those looking to learn english for business and those looking to learn english for pleasure. I am excited to be in a classroom with students that are younger and students that are older. I am also looking forward to the challenges presented with teaching beginners and advanced learners.
