This course has provided me with not only professional skills but with life skills as well for the classroom. It has taught me the importance of organization and structure with lesson planning. It also allowed me to become more compassionate with non-english speakers. Even though I am a native english speaker, some of these lessons were difficult! I never took into consideration of the different tenses that existed. english is indeed challenging and many of the rules do not make sense. I deeply sympathize with those who are learning english. It is not an easy task. Cultures fascinate me and traveling is a passion of mine. For this year, I do plan to be working as an english assistant in France. However, I want to explore other continents and cultures as much as possible. Traveling is the best education that one can ever receive. Learning new cultures, languages, and expanding your mind gives you the ultimate appreciation for civilization. It truly makes you become a citizen of the planet and aware of others around you. Overall, I will definitely be more compassionate to those around me and try to set a positive example for my students and break down any negative stigma associated with Americans.
