I have gained a great deal of insight to the many things a teacher must do to be effective in lesson planning and going above and beyond to make sure students receive a meaningful and memorable experience.. I have gained valuable insight to english grammar (which I still struggle) and found such challenging topics can be taught and understood in an ESL setting, because this course has provided me with the foundation that ties in lesson planning, actives into a format easy to understand and apply. When struggling with some units in the course I realized that these struggles will also be difficult for students in an ESL course to comprehend, and so the valuable feedback I received from my tutor has helped me to realize I should be reciprocating the same patience and well explained feedback in order for a student to realize their potential.
