I have truly learned a lot from this course. I have learned about the intricacies of the english language, and I feel much more confident about teaching english to non-native speakers. I feel like I can easily explain even the trickiest rules of grammar, and I am excited to put into action what I have learned. This year I am starting a Teaching Credential program to earn my Single Subject Teaching Credential for english. I know that while I am doing my student teaching at a local high school, I will be able to use a lot of the techniques I learned in this course. The high school I will be teaching at is very culturally diverse, and there are many students there who do not speak english as a first language. This course will prove to be incredibly useful when I am helping the non-native english speakers at the high school. Once my Teaching Credential program is finished next spring, I plan to use my tefl certificate combined with my Teaching Credential to go abroad, where I would love to teach english as a foreign language. I am interested in teaching just about anywhere in the world, and I know that this course has provided me with the tools necessary for making that dream a reality!
