I have gained so much from these lessons! Firstly, I have refreshed my proficiency in the english language and the proper uses of it. I have also refreshed my knowledge of how to teach various ages. I went to undergraduate for elementary education, and although I have been working with learners since then, it has been 3 years since Ive taken a teaching class. I have also learned techniques for teaching adult learners, a group I have not had experience teaching yet. Personally and professionally, I believe a tefl certification will be a wonderful supplement to my resume. I currently live in Chicago and there are a number of ELLs of all ages that I can help. I plan to seek out employment in the field of ELL once I have completed this course. I also plan to supplement my degrees and TEFL certificate with a Masters degree within the next 2-3 years. I plan to reference these lessons frequently in any future ESL jobs. The lessons were very clear and thorough and have great activities to use in the ESL classroom.
