While I do have experience working within various classrooms, I have gained a great deal from this course. Not only do I have a greater appreciation and understanding of the english language because of the course, but I have also learned a lot about what to expect from ESL students and classrooms and how to provide the best learning experience. This course has also been a great source of guidelines, ideas, tips, and resources. Units have been full of suggestions, successful exercises and activities, and advice on where to find more information. Overall, the course materials provide an incredible resource that I will be able to use for information or ideas for my own ESL classroom. The most helpful parts of this course have been the thorough grammar explanations, various exercise and activity suggests for engage, study, and activate stages, lesson plan format and tips, and learning about different types of learners, such as young, adult, and business learners.
