Last March, I had the opportunity and pleasure of going to Costa Rica. It was the first ?out of country? travel that I had ever done and was a very ?eye opening? experience. During the time that I was there, my sister and myself managed to get stranded in a village where very little english was spoken. The people that we met, adults and children alike were delightful and accommodating. I decided at that moment that I wanted to give back to these people in any way that I could. I still write to them and it is sometimes hard for them to understand , but we manage to do it. The decision was made for me to seek out a way to teach the english language. Your course has provided me with a guide to use and put into practice. It has taught me how to prepare lessons, the basics of the english language and to be able to break it down to teach it. I am a very patient person and know that I have the proper skills to help others to obtain more abilities so they can create opportunities for themselves. As native english speakers we often take for granted what we have learned. You tend to forget that there is a world around you where your skills are needed to help others. I feel that with what I have learned, I will be able to make a difference in other peoples lives by sharing my knowledge. I look forward to the coming months when I am able to do so.
