I have learned that the english Language is difficult when it comes to grammar, and not so much on speech pronunciation. It has encouraged me to continue revisiting and practicing the difference grammar rules that are in place, and creating ideas that can be brought in to the classroom, so that students can understand the rules and that they are applicable to what is taught in the class, and used in speaking english. I have come away with the practice of teaching subjects in smaller chunks for my students to understand and have incorporated many group learning activities, so that they can practice what was learned and it allows me to visit groups to check for understanding. I use plenty of visuals in my class, role plays and mimic words and ideas. Now, with this course, I have become more engaged than ever before This class has reoriented me to think about lesson planning and creating steps that engage the student, providing study components and then activities to complete on their own or in groups. I have learned to be creative and have found new fresh approaches to teaching so that my teaching is not repetitive, but engaging for my students. I want to created a classroom are more engaged and have a sense of pride and accomplishment.
