I am in my fifth year teaching overseas, what I've personally gained from this course is validation of my own teaching style,( I'm pretty good at teaching receptive skills) and a matrix to improve teaching productive skills. As the new school year approaches (Korean system begins in March) I plan to give my students more differentiated learning experiences that will encourage fluency in speaking and writing. For me, this means putting more effort into the Activity stage of learning and coming up with new group and pair activities that are relevant to the class and lesson.
