Classroom managementIn researching this topic, I found out that situations within the classrooms do occur occasionally and lead us to seek advice from more experienced people in order to maintain cooperative learning environment. I learned from this topic that, as a teacher, to keep current on policies regarding students and teachers interaction. As many argued that positive consequences when rules are followed, and negative consequences when rules are broken. Good classroom management depends on the teacher?s ability to control and manage well enough to prevent problems which leads to poor management then to a slower education process. Wise choices of educational materials, time management, teacher student relationship and the preparation and lesson planning are important factors for good classroom management. The teacher plays one of the most important roles of classroom management. Effective teaching and learning do not take place in poorly managed classrooms. The effective teacher performs wise choices about the effective educational materials according to the ?needs analysis? considering the needs of the students. Well managed classroom is produced by teachers using a great deal of effort, as this effort is important, time management can be as important. Effective use of class time is also one of the important areas to maintain. A proper timing of each part of the lesson is essential for the benefit of the students. Too much material or not enough material can lead to a poor classroom management and waist of the valuable learning time. Effective time management in the classroom is crucial not only in keeping the teacher on schedule but also in keeping the students interested and motivated in a positive classroom community. Creating a positive classroom community with mutual respect between the teacher and the student leads to a good classroom management. Teachers which are fair and supportive offer warmth, acceptance, and use the strategic of praise and rewards especially for younger learners. Punishments for disruptive behavior are no longer an acceptable solution nowadays even though it is still used widely. I personally support the idea which said that the vital key to a good management in the classroom is the teacher?s attitude and decision to earn the love and respect of the students. This can result, for young and adult learners to pay more attention, behave well and enjoy learning. Teacher student relationship leads to an effective classroom management which improves the learning process, as well as the preparation or the planning of the lesson. Lesson preparations and plans are important to the classroom management for all teachers but especially important for new teachers. List of material needed is extremely important. students will learn better with a properly designed lesson in which the teacher has paid attention to every detail. The well prepared teacher results in a less stressed situation, and becomes more comfortable and well managed in the classroom. However, flexibility is also essential; even though new teachers lack flexibility, but if the teacher is well prepared when the students lose interest in any activity the teacher should be able to finish the activity more quickly and shift to a more interesting one easily in order to stimulates the students and regain motivation and keep the classroom well managed. The most important point revealed by different studies that classroom management skills are of primary importance in determining teaching success, whether it is measured by students? learning or by ratings. A teacher with poor classroom management skills may not be expected to accomplish much.
