I have realized how little I know of the english language. I am married to an indonesian and my daughter speaks very little english because I work abroad. I took this course so that I will be able to find employment in Indonesia so I don't have to miss any more of my daughters birthdays. living in indonesia and trying to learn a foreign language has given me an appreciation of what my wife and daughter go through trying to communicate with me. I have taken this course so I have an opportunity to see my daughter grow up. Having a certification from TEFL gives me an opportunity to do just that.
