It has been a while back since I have studied english myself, the course has helped me review on some basic components of the language and its construction. I have taken for granted subtle grammar points that I have been using often over the years that I have learned to really look into while doing the units of the course. I also gained insight in how to teach a new language and to take into consideration differences in culture that definitely affects how students grasp it. I learned a new approach of planning lessons (ESA form); I re-learned important things to remember in classroom management; I refreshed my memory about what teaching is really about; I gained strategies of teaching language; and, I exercised my thinking and creativity in approaching a lesson. I plan to use what I learned from this course by employing strategies that I learned, using the lesson plan format with maybe some revisions depending on the kind of school or class I will be in, going back to the units and materials that I gathered from this course, and re-reading information that I may have forgotten to refresh my memory on it. I also plan to take into careful consideration problems that I may and or my students may encounter in each lesson and to also be reflective of my classes towards the goal of constantly improving for the benefit of my students.
