This class was incredibly beneficial. The grammar portion gave me a much needed review. Though I had learned about the concepts in my own foreign language classes, they had never really "clicked." I feel much more confident in my ability to teach the concepts now, though I am sure it will be a challenge at first. One of the most valuable things that taken this course has given me is a large amount of resources to refer to when I come across different issues or subjects while teaching english. Having never had any classes in education or lesson planning, having something to look to makes me feel far more confident taking this job. I feel much more excited about teaching now then I did when starting the class. With the experience of the worksheets, I feel that I at least have some structure rather than jumping in blindly as I would have otherwise. I now have a format for lesson planning that I will surely use. Additionally, the ESA, patchwork and boomerang structures are something that make a great deal of sense, but would have taken me a long time to figure out on my own. I am extremely glad I took this course.
