Several years ago our family visited vietnam. Several of the servers at the restaurants were pursuing degrees in the hospitality industry and also working at the restaurant. They were eager to practice their english with us. Some of them mentioned that we were lucky to have english as our first language because it was a difficult language. In my naïveté, I smiled and really did not know what to say. In the past, I have heard that english was a difficult language, but it never meant much to me until I took this course. Now with a new awareness I truly can say that english is a difficult language to learn! I have struggled with many aspects of the english, my native tongue, as I have worked my way through this course. That being said, this course was exemplary of excellent instruction. In my view, this course would be an asset to any student in a university teacher education program. The curriculum is thorough and complete and wonderfully laid out so that the student is challenged and encouraged, but not too frustrated as they work through the lessons. There are several places I would like to travel and teach Business english. My top choices would be: Finland, Prague, Slovakia or an Asian country. It is possible that I might end up teaching in an adult education program at a local community college.
