I have personally gained a lot about teaching english from this course that I have already been able to put to good use in my job as a Corporate english Trainer. I feel more confident, now that I have a better understanding of the right way to teach to cater to the needs of students who also have different learning styles. The unit on lesson planning has taught me that it is just as important for me to set objectives for myself as for my students, so that each lesson becomes a learning experience for everyone. The verb tense units were very useful and have also given me a new look at the often overlooked perfect tenses which I feel I can teach with more confidence. I have learned techniques on how to engage people, which I know I may be able to apply to practical situations and other undertakings I may pursue in the future. I am very satisfied with what I have learned and achieved, and I do highly recommend taking up this course for anyone who wants to broaden their knowledge of teaching english.
