This unit allows the importance of speaking and writing to be known. It delves into the critical nature of fluency and accuracy in speaking as well as in writing. I also found that thinking about the benefits of creative writing and the possible games that I could introduce to my students quite exciting. This unit really opens up the important (yet often ignored) existence of speaking and writing in another language.Watching the two instruction videos, one more effective than the other, was extremely useful to me in showing exactly what should and shouldn't happen in a lesson. The first one was a bit comical in it's being so blatantly obvious that that is NOT how one should conduct a lesson. The second video was helpful in allowing me to vicariously sit-in on the lesson and observe without having the pressure to teach it myself.
