This unit was very useful when thinking about the practical aspects of classroom teaching. It particularly was important to get feedback on the various areas that can cause issues for new teachers and how to avoid or minimise problems. Pre-planning your lessons professionally and ensuring all materials are at hand is vital to remember. You also though need to be prepared to adopt a flexible approach in the classroom as required.Unit 13 offered good insight into the different types of learners, different levels, and different situations that a teacher may encounter in the course of an ESL teaching career. I have taught business English to native English speakers and always assumed that is the area I would most enjoy. However, after completing this unit, I think I would also very much enjoy teaching young learners. It seems that would be a lot of fun!
