This unit gave an overview of phonology (i.e. stress, rhythm and intonation) and pronunciation in the English language. It also provided detailed definitions and tables to every topic. As usual it also gave exampled, techniques and ideas how to teach the subject in the classroom. I was a little overwhelmed by the very scientific and complex subject and had a hard time remembering everything. One of the most complex and difficult units.Classroom management has been something I work on as a pre service teacher. Using a various set of strategies when dealing with all types of behaviour provides a more dynamic environment in the classroom. We need to focus our classroom management on end goals rather than just discipling students for the sake of it. When we ensure students understand what they did wrong we allow more talk time, and the goals of the class to be achieved.
