Personally Gained ? During this course I have learnt a lot. When I first enrolled in this course I thought I would breeze through it with my current bachelor of Primary Education degree. When I got a quarter of the way through the course, I realized there were a lot of grammar aspects I did not know about or consider. I believe I have personally gained a greater understanding of the english language through this course, which in turn will benefit my teaching skills when I need to teach and implement these aspects. Plan of Action - I plan to do further study of the grammar aspects I struggled with to ensure that I am competent and comfortable to teach these aspects. Since I will be teaching young learners in hong kong, I believe I will be using a lot of knowledge about phonics and phonemic awareness. I have also learnt the importance of motivating students and ensuring my lessons encourage life long learning. This course has made me more aware of my use of language and pronunciation of others. I have also learnt a lot about course books and the need for further materials to help students understand the various english language concepts. Overall, I have personally gained a lot from this course that will assist with future teaching positions.
