I have in the past done a little one to one english teaching with a few of my neighbours over here in spain. Having done this TEFL course I now realize where and how often I have been doing it wrong. It?s not until you break down all the individual areas of teaching that you realize how much is involved, even obvious things like preparation. That?s just the teaching side. I was never a good student at school so a lot of the english language points were either completely new to me or I had forgotten them. The course has given me a new found confidence to go out and teach english, as well as the actual teaching skills. That is exactly what I am going to do. In the New Year I am going to e-mail all the language schools in my area and see what vacancies they have.
