This class has taught us a lot! Being native english speakers, we knew that it would be a challenge to revisit grammar and terms which we have not really had to consider much since grade school, this was certainly an eye opener for us (I don`t think we were ever taught modal verbs in school?). We`ve definitely learnt a lot more about the language and how difficult and confusing it can be for non-native english speakers. Our plan at this point is to do some travelling and teaching english in various countries as we go. We`d like to start out with teaching to Intermediate classes and then try teaching to various other levels from there. While this course has been great and we feel that we`ve learned enough to be able to successfully teach an english class, we both find the thought of teaching a beginner class to be a bit frightening. It will be very exciting to get to try our new teaching skills in the field and we are so excited to get started in our new careers!
