I have gained an enormous amount of knowledge from taking this course. Each new unit that I was exposed to heightened my awareness of and appreciation for teaching english. As a native speaker who often took for granted my grasp of english, I was able to reexamine the intricacies of my own language (especially grammar points) and realize its depth and complexity. Using what I have learned from this course I will be able to better present material to students of english in a sensible and confident way. The training this course gave me in creating lesson-plans and choosing effective activities and exercises to incorporate into the classroom was especially valuable. Being able to distinguish between the engage phase, study phase, and activate phase of a lesson and smoothly transitioning from one to another will be an essential tool in the future. I will now be able to generate organized and efficient lessons ensuring that time is spent wisely and the students have the opportunity to practice their language skills in many different ways.
