Having had some experience teaching english to speakers of other languages, I fELT certain at the start of taking the TEFL course that I already knew ?a thing or two? about teaching. However, having completed the course I now realize that my initial assumption was a display of over-confidence at the very least! I have learned a great deal from participating in the TEFL course and realize now that I still have a lot to learn. In particular, I have benefited from all of the teaching suggestions presented with the grammar points, and I will definitely be referring to my ittt TEFL papers again and again in future when preparing lesson plans to teach conditionals, passive voice, and perfect tenses, to name just a few.
