Unit 17, lists out the teaching equipment's and teaching aids with proper explanation and their uses.some of these equipment's are: visual aids, the board, cassette recorder, cd player, overhead projectors etc.

I have learnt that teaching aids are the materials that help enhance Teaching, makes teaching more effective, productive and less dependent on textbooks.In this unit we went through the different ways of teaching new language, including such levels of it as grammar, vocabulary and functions. While teaching new language teachers need to remember about four things students need to do with it ? to be exposed to it, to understand the meaning, how it is built and be able to use it. ESA methods can be easily applied to teaching new language. To teach grammar it is better to use ?straight arrow ? ESA approach, for function-based lessons ?boomerang? or ?patchwork? are preferable.
