Unit four has clarified my doubts on the number of tenses that exist in English being 12 tenses all together and their forms .The main tenses being the past,the present and the future.Unit four is focused on the present.I learned about four present tenses being the Present simple,the present continuous ,the present perfect with its long and contracted forms and finally the present perfect continuous.The Unit equally outlined typical student errors and mistakes,enlightened me how to correct such mistakes and provided some teaching ideas.This class was all about planning. Some of it was open-door material. Personally I did not feel I learned much from this unit, because I had already discussed and thought about all material provided in this course. I feel the biggest gain for me on this topic would be experience.
The unit stressed it is important to remain flexible with your planning, and that planning serves several purposes, including keeping track of the progress of the class, which might be especially useful if you become ill and your lessons need to be taken over.
