In a classroom, there are various different students grouping and seating arrangements
which depend on factors such as the type of activity and students size. A teacher should maintain a balance between teacher talk time and student talk time. Building rapport and respect among the teacher and students and between students and students are also important.This unit shows the way to teach reading and listening skills in English. It listed out several skills, including predictive, skimming and scanning skills etc. For non-native English speakers, students may find it frustrated when they do not understand some vocabularies. However, teacher should encourage them to guess the meaning of the vocabulary when looking a few sentences together. In this way, the students could predict the meaning of the vocabulary more easily. After the guessing, the teacher could tell them if it is correct or not.
