In this unit i have learned about the different techniques/methods in teaching vocabulary,grammer, which leads to having an engaging class. I also learned that the appropriate selection of vocabulary is important as it relates to the students background and level. Again the teaching methods such as the 'straight arrow. 'boomerang' are reinforced which I like very much. this helps me to get a clearer understanding on how to approach my classes. Watching the videos too is also very helpful, esp. with the different sccenarios in the class.Firstly it was nice to have the differentiation of studying some real time videos. This allowed me to put a visual connection, in a classroom environment, to some of the areas covered in the units to date. The difference in the attitude of the teacher between videos and the use of and reference to a lesson plan structure (in the second video) contributed to a professional lesson in the second video. The lack of interest, engagement and disorganisation shown by the teacher in the first video had a poor affect on the students participation.
