This unit discusses the different the different methods that can be used to manage a class. The methods included vary from seating arrangements, activity settings, student and teacher rapport to how to manage problematic behaviors in the classroom. It also discusses the importance of the relationship between a student and a teacher for better class management. I have personally benefited from learning the different ways to deal with problematic behavior from students because I there at times often I feel lost when facing these situations.The unit covers several topics such as intonation, stress, phonetic symbols and the teaching of these elements of language. I would have enjoyed a more in-depth study of articulation and the manner of its use. Not for the first time in this course have I regretted the decision to proceed without a tutor. This was a very interesting, absorbing and complicated unit which took some time to assimilate. Indeed, this was only partially successful in my case and I will be ordering the recommended tome from Cambridge University Press to assist me.
