This unit explored the different type of test that the students are taking and preparing for. Diagnostic and placement tests are most important for determining how far along the student is in their English learning. Additionally, practice tests and progress tests are essential in tracking the progress of the student throughout the class. I learned about the different types of external and internal test the students may take. Depending on the level of the students and their future goals, there is a wide range of external tests they may take.Class size and how the actual class formation of seating is an important thing to think about. The larger the class, the better row by row approach is recommended. I liked the discussion of the horse shoe to increase a feeling of intimacy in a smallish class. Gestures are a nice
break for the student and from the constant of the teacher's talking. I think managing a problem student's behavior might be the biggest challenge for a teacher. I never thought about lack of self-confidence as being the reason. It was a very valuable chapter.
