There are many problems we encounter as English teachers, Whether it is the first lesson, getting to know your students, building rapport, difference in their levels. I have thought about how that might impact my lesson overall and how to overcome it, but with the material explained here I can safely say that i can partially understand how to deal with those situations. I am sure that with the experience done in the classroom i will improve exponentially. Will definitely expand my knowledge reading more books and applying them to my lessons.There are various assessments that can be used by teachers but for different purposes. For example it's important to know what level your students are at at the start of a course and where to place them within a class through use of placement tests. Later on for new units, diagnostic tests also help see what students already know. Testing however can be stressful for students and I believe it is important to work at the end of sessions one on one with students so they don't have to perform in those test like environments if they are nervous.
