This unit has been the most difficult unit to date for me, and so far out of all the units throughout the course has taken me the longest. I have personally even from basic english classes during my schooling years found tenses quite difficult to figure out when looking at ordinary sentences. This unit has definitely helped me however I feel although I have read it over and over again I will still need to re-read it before I were to teach present tenses as there is certainly a lot of information to take in and for me can be quite overwhelming.This unit covered possible challenges that can be encountered in the classroom. These range from new groups to existing groups. Certain activities can be used to establish rapport, find out about students, find out their needs and the English level of each student. As opposed to an ice breaker, warmers are used to ?warm the students?, this being fun and motivating. Different levels of the students and larger classes are challenges that can cause some problems. Again certain activities have been designed to deal with these challenges.
