So far I've read about teaching general English to groups of adults and Unit 19 gives detailed information about various techniques and activities that can be used when teaching specific groups such as beginners, young learners and business students because teaching different specific groups may require different scills and manner of teaching. I found lists of activities most useful as well as tips about methodology and possible problems and ways to solve them. Also Unit 19 described some differences between monolingual and multilingual classes.This unit was a good reminder of the English grammar structure, something I studied in depth in college. I did not remember all of the information in this chapter, especially the different verb types. I had forgotten there was so much. English is a difficult language to learn, because there are so many exceptions to the rule, so it was helpful that this chapter not only listed out many of those exceptions, but tried to explain them as best they could. This chapter will be a very useful guide in the future--I see myself going back to it a lot.
